I'm Thierry Heumann. "The Apps" (or "TH e-apps") is where the things I build end up.
I spent over a decade as a QA lead and test automation engineer, building quality strategy and automation frameworks for SaaS companies. I got good at finding the missing parts of software before users did, and at working closely enough with product and engineering teams to help prevent them in the first place. A decade of watching where software leaves people stranded is a decent education in what to build instead.
Recently, I started building my own things. Most of them come from the same place: a group of people trying to coordinate something, and a group chat that isn't up to the job. Chat is great for banter and bad for state. Who's actually coming? Who paid? Is there room for one more? The answer is buried in a thread nobody wants to scroll.
whosin and FPheLp do exactly that, in different contexts. They aren't replacing chat. They take the handful of things chat does badly (RSVPs, payments, standings, results) and stay out of the way for everything else.
